During the episode, he candidly admitted his concerns about lacking experience in this format. In preparation for his debut, he turned to seasoned colleagues from HYBE for guidance. During the broadcast on July 16, he shared humorous advice he received from BTS’s RM and SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan.
Soobin’s Aspirations for More Variety Show Opportunities
In the July 16th episode of Radio Star, aired on the YouTube channel MBCentertainment, Soobin was featured as a guest. This marked one of the rare variety show appearances for the TXT leader, much to the delight of fans. Expressing his nerves and aspirations, Soobin discussed how his group has received fewer invitations for such shows.
He mentioned, “I have ambitions for variety shows, but our group isn’t really known for being that funny, so we haven’t been invited to many.” He sought the insights of more experienced idols to make the most of his Radio Star appearance.
Advice from RM and Seungkwan on Navigating Variety Shows
Soobin received both amusing and practical tips from BTS’s RM and Seungkwan regarding his behavior on variety shows. RM, with his trademark intelligence, advised, “Go and be loud. Go all out.” This kindhearted suggestion delighted fans, who affectionately refer to him as the “Most Supportive Senior.”
Known for his maturity and wit in interviews, Soobin also consulted Seungkwan, a variety show expert. Reflecting on their conversation, he recalled, “I told him I don’t have any special talents or impressions, but he just replied, ‘What kind of personal skills? Just go!'”
