## Bruce Springsteen’s Visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live!

During a recent appearance on *Jimmy Kimmel Live!*, Bruce Springsteen took the opportunity to share a message of hope amidst challenging times. He also recounted an amusing tale about his only experience with karaoke.

### A Powerful Message

In the latter part of the interview, Springsteen, who was joined by *Deliver Me From Nowhere* star Jeremy Allen White, shared his thoughts on the current state of the nation and the world. His message was both succinct and impactful.

Springsteen stated, “For fifty years, I’ve been a sort of musical ambassador for America globally. I have this song, ‘Land of Hope and Dreams,’ which serves as a prayer for our country. We perform it every night. Many people around the world see America not as a place of fear or division, but as a nation worth fighting for.”

### Lighthearted Moments

The remainder of the interview kept a lighter tone as Springsteen and White discussed *Deliver Me From Nowhere*. Springsteen recalled how he creatively borrowed the title for “Born in the U.S.A.” from a script by filmmaker Paul Schrader. He also touched on the upcoming *Nebraska ’82* box set, which features the long-awaited electric version of the album recorded by the E Street Band.

### Bruce’s Karaoke Experience

Amid the conversation, Springsteen shared a humorous anecdote about his first and only karaoke experience. “I was in a small bar in London, where karaoke was happening. I thought, ‘I’m going to get up and do some karaoke!'” he recalled with a smile.

He decided to belt out “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” by the Temptations. However, he humorously noted that when he started singing, the audience didn’t recognize him and treated him like just another person taking the stage. “It was such a letdown; I’ve never done karaoke since,” he quipped.
