Bradley Walsh Reveals What Could Get Him Fired as Chase Host

Bradley Walsh has expressed that altering the beloved game show, The Chase, would be a risk he simply can’t afford to take.
The 65-year-old has been the face of the show since it began in 2009. In a recent interview, he discussed his hectic work schedule.
While appearing on the BBC’s The One Show, he was asked whether fans can anticipate any changes in the upcoming series of The Chase and its spin-off, Beat The Chasers. However, Walsh insisted that he intends to stick to the format that has proven to be a hit.
“I’m not permitted to change anything. If I did, I think I’d be fired,” he joked.
He continued, “You have to adhere to the rules and the established format.”
Despite this, Walsh noted that he still enjoys some light-hearted moments during filming.
Walsh mentioned that he embraces being viewed as “old and grumpy” as he ages. He noted that age allows him the freedom to choose his projects wisely.
“People tell me I never stop working, but if you enjoy your job, it never feels like work,” he said.
“It’s just that simple. I truly love what I do.”
The Chase is set to make its debut on TVNZ1 in New Zealand, with Paul Henry slated to host. A specific broadcast date has yet to be confirmed.
The Chase is on TVNZ1 and TVNZ+ daily at 5pm.
