Brad Cox Discusses Passion Behind His New Album ‘Country Adjacent’

Country artist Brad Cox has unveiled his latest album, Endemic Intelligence in Multiple Dimensions, which distinctly blends country with a fresh twist.
This album signifies a significant evolution in Cox’s musical journey.
A New Perspective
In a recent interview, Cox talked about how his songwriting has evolved. “I mean, I think I’ve matured as a songwriter, as a bloke. I’m 30. I’m starting to figure out life a little bit,” he shared. He further emphasized that for many men, understanding life and its nuances can take time.
“In the last few years, I’ve gained a clearer perspective on the world and what truly matters,” he added.
Shifting Themes in Songwriting
Discussing the inspiration for his new album, Cox expressed his desire to delve into subjects that resonate deeply with him. “I want to write about things that I really give a shit about. It’s not enough anymore just writing about driving down a dirt road or sitting around having a great time drinking beers,” he stated. “Right now, people are struggling to make ends meet, and that really bothers me.”
Celebrating the Launch
To commemorate the release of his album, Cox will embark on a series of exclusive launch shows. These performances will take place in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Newcastle, allowing him to return to the intimate venues where he initially developed his craft.
Understanding the Title
As for the album’s intriguing title, Cox simply said, “I wanted people to think, ‘What is this bloke on about?’ I want it to spark curiosity and encourage listeners to engage with the record I’ve poured my heart into.”
Brad Cox’s Endemic Intelligence in Multiple Dimensions is now available through Warner Music Australia.
