Bobby Deol Expresses Longing for Closer Bond with Sisters on Bhai Dooj
Actor Bobby Deol reflects on his strong family bond on Bhai Dooj, sharing memories of growing up with his siblings
In the Deol family, the love for each other is profound, especially during festivals. On the occasion of Bhai Dooj, Bobby Deol expresses his heartfelt sentiments about his siblings, Vijeta and Ajeita.
“We are four siblings—my brother Ajay (actor Sunny Deol), my sisters Vijeta and Ajeita, and I am the youngest. Growing up in a joint family was amazing. Every day after school, we would rush outside to play. Those carefree days were some of my happiest, and I often wish I could relive them,” Bobby shares.

Being the youngest meant that Bobby was often spoiled. “I certainly received plenty of love and indulgence,” he says. “We did fight like any siblings, but we always looked out for one another. My sisters would often help me with homework, so I had that advantage.”
Bobby reflects on how, as they’ve grown older and dispersed around the globe, the sibling bond has only strengthened. “No matter where we live, our connection remains robust. We care for each other deeply and are always there, regardless of the miles between us.”
He expresses a wish to shorten the physical distance that separates him from his sisters but is grateful that technology helps keep their bond alive. “I wish I could be closer to my sisters like we were when we were kids. Still, we video call almost daily, and while Vijeta is in Delhi, I see her quite often. Ajeita lives abroad, but we catch up whenever she visits Mumbai or I travel to see her,” he concludes.
