Anshula Kapoor Reflects on Life Post Dad’s Marriage to Sridevi

Anshula Kapoor Reflects on Her Childhood After Boney Kapoor Married Sridevi
Growing Up in the Spotlight
Anshula Kapoor, who recently debuted in the reality show The Traitors, recently opened up about her childhood experiences following her father, Boney Kapoor’s, marriage to the late actress Sridevi. Their relationship was particularly notable, as Boney was already married and had two children, Arjun and Anshula, when he met Sridevi. In 1996, Boney divorced his first wife and married Sridevi soon after.
This transition changed the dynamics of their family life significantly. Following Sridevi’s tragic passing in 2018, Anshula and her brother Arjun formed a close bond with their half-sisters, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor. Despite the challenges faced due to their parents’ marital changes, the siblings now share a supportive family unit.
Navigating School Life Amidst Family Changes
Remembering her childhood, Anshula shared that the public nature of her father’s relationship made things particularly difficult. She noted how, during her school years, children’s behavior toward her changed because of the stigma associated with divorce in the ’90s. "I was in first grade, and many families wanted to distance themselves from what was happening in our lives," she recalled.
This experience not only brought emotional struggles but also confusion about her father’s absence from home. Anshula explained that being part of such a public family made it harder to navigate those feelings compared to what might have been a more private situation.
Current Endeavors and Family Ties
Today, Anshula is a successful entrepreneur and advocates for body positivity and mental health. Her siblings Arjun, Janhvi, and Khushi are also making their mark in the Bollywood scene, navigating their careers while supporting one another.
It’s inspiring to see how the Kapoor family has evolved from their turbulent times. Have you ever faced a similar situation in your family? How did you cope?
