Television actor Anita Hassanandani is enjoying her newfound success after winning the reality show *Chhoriyan Chali Gaon*. Known for her roles in hit shows like *Kkavyanjali* and *Kasamh Se*, she made her return to TV after a four-year break with the show *Suman Indori*. In a recent podcast with Hindi Rush, Anita discussed the significant pay cut she faced upon her return to the industry.

Anita Hassanandani on TV actors being paid less

Anita revealed that many television actors today are receiving significantly lower salaries compared to their previous earnings. She remarked, “Pehle jitna milta tha TV actors ko, ab utna nahi milta hai because budgets have gone down. Itne saare shows hai and itne saare mediums. And also, there are actors who are working for less amount, so people think paise bachao.”

She further elaborated on her personal situation, indicating that the trend of lower pay began post-Covid. “When I came back, I got less than what my per-day pay used to be,” she explained. Despite the reduction in her salary, Anita expressed that her primary concern was resuming work rather than monetary compensation.

Before starring in *Suman Indori*, Anita was seen in *Naagin 4* as Vishakha in 2020. Although she made brief appearances in *Naagin 6* and *Hum Rahein Na Rahein Hum*, her significant return to television occurred with *Suman Indori*, which aired from September 2024 to April 2025. The series, featuring Ashnoor Kaur and Zain Imam, was a remake of the acclaimed Colors Kannada series *Kendasampige*.

In her recent appearance on *Chhoriyan Chali Gaon*, hosted by Rannvijay Singha, Anita and other urban female celebrities lived in a rural Indian village, adapting to traditional lifestyles. Contestants had to complete tasks like milking buffaloes and cooking on a traditional stove. Ultimately, Anita emerged victorious in the competition.
