Aneet Padda Reveals Production Houses Have Her ‘Horrible’ Bio and Filter Pics

Actor Aneet Padda gained recognition through her recent release, Saiyaara. The film transformed both her and co-star Ahaan Panday into instant celebrities. In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan India, Aneet shared her journey starting at 17 when she sent cold emails to numerous production houses in search of acting opportunities.
Aneet Padda’s Experience with Scam Audition Websites
Reflecting back, Aneet mentioned her childhood role in a school play at age ten. She found acting to be an intriguing way to express her uniqueness, which drew positive attention. Nonetheless, the lack of encouragement from peers and family led to self-doubt. She confided, “For the longest time, I told myself, ‘You are so silly for even wanting to do anything about this.’ I stopped dreaming for a while.”
When she turned 17, Aneet ventured into online searches for auditions and ended up on misleading sites that she described as “scams.” “Almost every production house in the Hindi film industry has my audition tape, a terrible biodata, and Snapchat filter pictures,” she explained. During the pandemic, she even reached out to 50-70 production firms, only to discover that casting agencies played a crucial role in hiring actors.
