Aerosmith Collaborates with Yungblud on Their First New Track in 12 Years

Aerosmith’s New Chapter
Aerosmith might be stepping back from touring, but their musical journey continues. Recently, they entered the studio with Yungblud to create a five-track collaborative EP titled One More Time, which is set to release on November 21. The lead single, “My Only Angel,” is already available for fans to enjoy.
The Creative Collaboration
Yungblud first connected with the iconic band when Aerosmith featured on his track “Hello Heaven, Hello.” Their chemistry led to the ambitious project that will include four new originals and a fresh mix of the beloved Aerosmith hit “Back in the Saddle.”
Recent Appearances and Farewell Tour
Earlier this month, Yungblud took the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards, performing alongside Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and Nuno Bettencourt to pay tribute to Ozzy Osbourne.
In 2023, Aerosmith was forced to halt their Peace Out… Farewell Tour after only three shows due to Tyler’s larynx injury. They ultimately announced their retirement from touring. “Sadly, it is clear that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible,” the band stated, adding that stepping back was a difficult but necessary choice.
Although Tyler has yet to perform a full show since the announcement, he has made special appearances at events like Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell concert, where he sang without issues. Meanwhile, Joe Perry has been active on tour with a revamped Joe Perry Project, featuring musicians such as Brad Whitford and Robert DeLeo.
Future Possibilities
On September 17, Tyler made a surprise appearance with the Joe Perry Project at the Hollywood Bowl, performing classics like “Walk This Way.”
This marked a rare reunion for Aerosmith members, as Tyler, Perry, Whitford, and bassist Tom Hamilton gathered for the studio sessions of One More Time. Notably, drummer Joe Kramer was absent, replaced by former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum.
While it seems Aerosmith’s touring days may be behind them, the prospect of one last concert lingers. “There’s gotta be at least another Aerosmith gig,” Perry shared in June. “But we’ll just have to see.”
As Aerosmith embarks on this new chapter, what are your thoughts on their collaboration with Yungblud?
