While Mumbai celebrations radiate glamour with various parties, Aahana notes, “The festivities kick off well in advance, often with multiple parties in a single evening. However, networking remains a key aspect of these gatherings.” She appreciates meeting friends and colleagues in a bustling environment where everyone is occupied with their individual pursuits.

She enjoys attending these events, stating, “Even though it’s part of my profession, I truly value the chance to connect with friends. Getting dressed up and meeting people I rarely see is enjoyable, regardless of whether it leads to work opportunities.” Aahana adds that the feeling of togetherness during Diwali is irreplaceable.

At home, Aahana takes charge of the Diwali puja and decorations, ensuring everything is prepared well in advance. “I love to decorate the house and distribute sweets to family and friends,” she mentions. Traditional dishes like Suran ke sabzi (yam) hold special significance during family celebrations, paired with Dahi-bara and chole-bhature, which are staples during the festivities.
