Lorde Teases Australian and New Zealand Dates for Her ‘Ultrasound’ Tour

Lorde is generating excitement with hints of an upcoming tour in Australia and New Zealand. These locations were notably absent from the initial announcement of her ‘Ultrasound’ world tour.
In cities like Sydney and Melbourne, posters promoting the tour have already begun appearing. Promoter Frontier Touring has indicated that a formal announcement is expected imminently.
Anticipation of Upcoming Shows
During an interview with Stuff at the Aotearoa Music Awards in May, Lorde hinted at the possibility of returning to her roots for concert performances. She quipped, “Could you imagine if I didn’t? That would be bad, that would be bad. Watch this space.”
Latest Album Success
Lorde is currently promoting her new album, Virgin, which launched on June 27. The album has achieved significant acclaim, debuting at No. 1 in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. It also reached No. 2 in the US charts.
In a recent social media post, she expressed her gratitude for the positive reception, stating she felt “moved from solid to liquid to gas by the welcome Virgin has received.”
More Music to Come
Fans can look forward to additional music as well. Recently, Lorde teased B-sides from Virgin, revealing that some songs did not make the final cut of the album.
The Tour Lineup and Performances
Lorde recently warmed up for the tour with a surprise performance at the Glastonbury Festival, marking her first live appearance in support of the Ultrasound era.
Originally announced in May, the Ultrasound world tour features performances across the US, UK, and Europe, kicking off in Texas on September 17 and concluding in Sweden on December 9. She will be accompanied by several supporting acts, including Blood Orange and Nilüfer Yana.

Currently, Lorde is in Paris for Haute Couture Fashion Week, attending the Chanel show with fellow artist Gracie Abrams.
