Exciting news for Bollywood enthusiasts! Reports suggest that three major stars, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Kartik Aaryan, are in negotiation to star in Anees Bazmee’s latest film, tentatively titled Ram Aur Shyam.
While the title brings to mind Dilip Kumar’s iconic film from 1967, insiders clarify that this will not be a remake. “Anees sir has been developing this idea for some time. The goal is to reinterpret the twin theme for a modern audience,” revealed a trade insider.
Previously, anticipation had surrounded No Entry Mein Entry, a much-anticipated sequel to Bazmee’s 2005 hit No Entry. However, the recent buzz indicates that the filmmaker is pivoting to fast-track this new venture before re-engaging with his comedic universe.
About the Project
Sources state that Ram Aur Shyam is in advanced development stages, with plans to commence shooting early next year. The storyline will likely involve a double role, placing the three actors as the leading contenders for the part.
Kartik seems to be a strong front-runner for the role, but scheduling may pose a significant challenge. “All three actors have busy calendars. Ranveer begins filming Don 3 in January, while Kartik has Naagzilla. Ranbir is set to finish Love & War before he preps for Dhoom 4. Anees is also considering Shahid Kapoor if the dates can be aligned, aiming for a film start by late February,” the source added.
Anees Bazmee is renowned for delivering hit comedies, including No Entry, Welcome, Singh Is Kinng, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. With Ram Aur Shyam, he aims to blend nostalgia with a fresh cast of stars.
