## Ed Sheeran’s High School Reunion Performance
Ed Sheeran recently took a nostalgic trip down memory lane by reuniting with his high school band. During a concert in Hamburg, Germany, he surprised the audience by inviting the lead singer of Wheatus, Brendan B. Brown, to perform one of his all-time favorite tracks, the iconic Y2K hit “Teenage Dirtbag.”
### An Unexpected Surprise for Fans
Before the performance, Ed excitedly shared with the crowd, “I’ve got a cool surprise for you, it’s really quite cool, but bear with me.” He reminisced about how his high school band, which had split up years ago, remained close friends. They had even come together recently to play at a friend’s wedding.
Reflecting on that memorable wedding gig, Sheeran recalled, “When we were playing, we played a song we used to play when we were 12. And I said, ‘Fucking hell, isn’t this a great song? I wanna play this live [in concert].’”
### A Special Guest Appearance
After inviting his former bandmate on stage, Sheeran revealed another surprise. He announced, “I’m gonna email the lead singer and see if he’ll come and sing it. And he’s flown over especially from New York just for this, and it’s gonna be fucking awesome, I can’t wait. This is one of my favorite songs of all time, I’d say top 10 favorite songs of all time.”
Brendan B. Brown then joined Ed and his high school band for the unforgettable performance on the Volksparktadion stage. Sharing the moment on social media, Ed expressed, “One of my fav moments ever on stage, thank you Brendan. What a night.”
Isn’t it incredible to see such heartfelt reunions in the music industry? What are your favorite moments of nostalgia in live performances?
