## Kiwi Legends Launch Sweet Home Aotearoa Festival

Kiwi band Six60 is excited to announce a brand-new festival, Sweet Home Aotearoa, set to bring a slice of Nashville to New Zealand. This lively country and roots festival will take place on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, at Matakana Country Park.

The one-day event promises to deliver great music and good times, making it the ultimate summer experience. Six60 aims to create “a bit of Nashville under the Aotearoa sun,” pairing top-notch artists with a relaxed atmosphere, mouthwatering local food, and beverages.

### A Festival for Everyone

Whether you’re a devoted country music fan or simply looking for a feel-good festival experience, Sweet Home Aotearoa caters to all. It’s the perfect way to kick off the new year with friends, family, and fantastic music.

The festival will feature an incredible lineup of New Zealand talent. Tami Neilson, celebrated for her unique ability to blend country, soul, and rock, will electrify the crowd. Hori Shaw, emerging from Aotearoa’s roots and reggae scene, will share his poignant storytelling.

Rounding out the diverse lineup are the NZ-born Samoan country artist The Western Guide and the rising star Rosie Teese.

Sweet Home Aotearoa will also feature notable international performers like Alabama rapper Yelawolf and Australian sensations Tash Sultana (DJ Set) and Brad Cox. Five-piece group South Summit and talented newcomer Rachael Fahim will also take the stage.

This family-friendly event welcomes fans of all ages, but those under 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Tickets will be available for purchase starting at 12 PM on Tuesday, October 28th.

This festival also highlights Six60’s impressive achievements, including being the first New Zealand band to sell out Auckland’s 50,000-seat Western Springs Stadium. They also headlined a significant concert at Eden Park following the Covid pandemic.

Recently, the band earned the title of the first-ever Aotearoa Charts Icon at the Aotearoa Music Awards. Their accolades include the Te Taumata o te Hokona | Highest Selling Artist Tūī, which they have claimed a record seven times.

Over their 15-year career, Six60 has firmly established themselves on the charts. With 28 Top 40 singles, three #1 hits, and four chart-topping albums, their presence has been monumental. Their music has recorded an astounding 586 weeks on the Singles Chart and 1,232 weeks on the Albums Chart.

As they prepare for Sweet Home Aotearoa, Six60 is also scheduled to headline the Big Pineapple Festival on the Sunshine Coast this year. They will join other acts like Hilltop Hoods and The Cat Empire.
