Brandy's Chicago Concert with Monica Cut Short Due to Dehydration

### Health Concerns Impact Brandy’s Chicago Performance

Brandy announced that dehydration was the reason for her sudden departure from her concert with Monica in Chicago on Saturday night. The *Boy Is Mine Tour*, co-headlined with Monica, had recently begun, with the third concert occurring in Chicago.

#### Unexpected Exit During Performance

During the performance of “Baby,” Brandy abruptly left the stage, leading to Monica continuing the show solo. Unfortunately, this left fans without the anticipated duet of their classic hit, “The Boy Is Mine.”

### Clarification on Health Issues

In a statement shared the following morning, Brandy reassured fans that her exit was strictly health-related. She expressed regret for how the Chicago performance ended.

“I sincerely apologize for the abrupt end to last night’s performance in Chicago,” she noted. “After weeks of nonstop rehearsals, I experienced dehydration and feelings of faintness. Everyone agreed that my well-being was paramount.”

Brandy also mentioned her attempt to return to the stage, citing the difficulty of connecting with the production under the circumstances.

> “I still made the decision to try and return and give it my all despite not feeling OK. Unfortunately, it was impossible to fully connect sonically with the production,” she stated.

### Support from Monica

Brandy expressed her gratitude towards Monica for handling the show with professionalism. After her departure, she sought medical advice and was given the clearance to continue the tour.

“I look forward to returning to the stage — stronger and more grateful than ever — alongside my girl, Monica, tonight in Indianapolis,” Brandy conveyed.
