Actor Lakshya began his career in television shows, gaining fame with the series Porus. After its conclusion, he focused on film auditions and eventually landed a three-film deal with renowned filmmaker Karan Johar. However, his path was fraught with challenges, as two of the films, Dostana 2 and Bedhadak, faced shelving. Recently, in a podcast with Raj Shamani, Lakshya opened up about navigating these hurdles.
Lakshya shared that when he learned about the shelved films, he reassured himself that it wasn’t his fault. He dedicated himself to voice training, scene reading, gym workouts, and film watching. Reflecting on this phase, he said, “I was blank. I was numb to it. Luckily, I never had self-doubt. I believed hard work was the key.” Despite setbacks, he maintained a positive outlook, believing that things would eventually change for the better.
Lakshya revealed that he turned down a high-paying television role after Porus, where he was offered ₹20,000–₹25,000 per day. He described his father’s surprise at the offer, but his determination to become a film star outweighed the financial security of television. “What do I lack? If others can do it, so can I!” he asserted.
Lakshya marked his Bollywood debut with the action thriller Kill, produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga, which received positive critical acclaim. The film made ₹47.25 crore globally, surpassing its ₹40 crore budget. He recently appeared in The Ba*rds of Bollywood, Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, which became a hit on Netflix.
His upcoming romantic drama, Chand Mera Dil, produced by Dharma Productions, features Ananya Panday alongside him. Karan Johar shared the film’s teaser, hinting at an intense love story set to release in 2025. As anticipation builds, fans await its official debut date.
