Central Cee’s last performance in Australia ended abruptly and violently during his show in Perth. Reports indicate that a teenager allegedly attacked two individuals in the audience.
The UK rapper took the stage at RAC Arena at around 9 PM. Approximately 40 minutes into the performance, a 17-year-old from Gosnells reportedly began to punch a 25-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman seated nearby, according to local news outlets.
Witnesses described a chaotic scene, with the teenager throwing punches for over two minutes. Footage of the altercation later surfaced on TikTok.
Concertgoer Campbell Darby, 20, recounted the event, stating, “They were right next to me, and I had to move out of the way, but the girl was knocked out, fully unconscious. I had to help the people next to me get out of the way so they didn’t get hit.”
Western Australia Police reported that officers arrived at about 9:45 PM. Both victims endured bruising to their heads and faces. The teenager faces charges for assault occasioning bodily harm, common assault, disorderly behavior, and resisting arrest.
The alleged attacker is scheduled to appear in Perth Children’s Court on Tuesday, July 29th. Darby noted that the confrontation left the audience shaken. “It completely turned my night around, and the people I was with were very shaken up,” he remarked.
Another attendee, Don Salapang, 21, said the incident cast a shadow over the concert. “It definitely brought down the mood significantly for everyone,” he shared. “Some of us were torn, focusing on the aftermath of the fight and the actual concert. We felt bad going back to recording and acting like nothing happened.”
An RAC Arena spokesperson reassured that the safety of patrons and staff is a top priority and confirmed cooperation with WA Police during the investigation.
St John WA paramedics were present at the venue but indicated they were not called to attend specifically to the incident.
Central Cee, known for hits like “Sprinter” and “Band4Band,” had previously performed in cities such as Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, wrapping up his ‘Can’t Rush Greatness’ world tour in Perth.
