Upcoming Summer Concert Tour in New Zealand
Rock icons Iggy Pop and Joan Jett are set to perform three electrifying shows across New Zealand in January 2026, as part of the Summer Concert Tour.

Joining them on stage will be the Australian rock band Hoodoo Gurus, along with New Zealand’s own Zed.
Tour Schedule
The tour is scheduled to commence in Taupō over the Auckland Anniversary Weekend, starting on Saturday, January 24, at the Taupō Amphitheatre.
Following that, the concert will take place in Whitianga at the Sheriff Block Arena on Monday, January 26, wrapping up at the Three Parks Outdoor Arena in Wanaka on Saturday, January 31.
Iggy Pop’s Dynamic Performance
Iggy Pop, renowned for his intense and unpredictable stage presence, has left a mark in the world of music. A Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winner in 2020, his career encompasses genres like punk and pop, alongside his work with The Stooges and various collaborations with notable artists, including David Bowie.
His recent concerts have featured unforgettable hits such as “TV Eye,” “Raw Power,” “The Passenger,” “Lust for Life,” and “Real Wild Child,” along with tracks from his latest album, *Every Loser*.

Expressing his eagerness, Iggy stated he was “knocked out by the chance to come and rock hard” in “beautiful New Zealand.”
Joan Jett’s Legacy
Joan Jett, accompanied by her band The Blackhearts, entered the rock scene when it was largely dominated by men. Since founding her band in 1979, Jett has amassed eight platinum and gold albums, along with nine top 40 singles. Classics like “Bad Reputation,” “I Love Rock ’n’ Roll,” “I Hate Myself for Loving You,” and “Crimson and Clover” are testament to her impact.
Jett’s multifaceted career extends beyond music, encompassing film, television, Broadway, and humanitarian work.
She expressed her excitement, saying, “I’m thrilled to be playing in New Zealand and performing for the fans there; really looking forward to it.”

Tickets will be available at various local centers, including the Taupō Visitor Information Centre and Wānaka isite Visitor Centre.
A pre-sale for Greenstone members will begin on Tuesday, October 21, at 8 AM, with general sales opening on Thursday, October 23, at 9 AM.
