Kareena Kapoor Shares How Taimur and Jeh Fear Saif Ali Khan More Than Her

Kareena Kapoor Discusses Parenting Dynamics

Kareena Kapoor recently opened up about her parenting approach with her two sons, Taimur and Jeh. She revealed an interesting detail: instead of fearing her, the boys are much more intimidated by their father, Saif Ali Khan. To encourage them to behave, she often resorts to the line, “Abba will get really angry.”

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan share two sons: Taimur and Jeh.

Kareena and Saif’s Parenting Style

Kareena discussed her husband Saif’s parenting style during a recent podcast episode with her sister-in-law Soha Ali Khan. She emphasized that Saif loves to engage in playful activities, which helps him bond with Taimur and Jeh.

“Fathers have a unique role in making their boys feel comfortable and understood. Saif excels at this, whether it’s playing sports or making music,” she remarked.

Authority and Affection

While Saif enjoys being the friendly parent, he can also take on a more authoritative role when necessary. Kareena humorously noted that if something needs to get done, invoking Saif’s name does the trick: “The boys are more scared of Saif than of me.”

During the conversation, Kareena admitted that she sometimes tends to be overly protective, likening herself to a “helicopter mom.”

Saif and Kareena’s Love Story

The couple’s romance began while filming “Tashan” in 2008. What started as friendship blossomed into love, despite their differing life stages—Kareena was soaring in her career while Saif was an established star and a father from his previous marriage.

Saif’s heartfelt gesture of getting Kareena’s name tattooed on his forearm showcased his commitment. They married on October 16, 2012, and welcomed Taimur in December 2016, followed by Jeh in February 2021.
