The sister of legendary country music star Dolly Parton has requested prayers. This comes two weeks after the singer delayed her Las Vegas residency, citing unspecified health issues.
The iconic “Jolene” singer, now 79, announced the postponement of her first residency in Las Vegas in over three decades, which was initially scheduled for September 30.
Health Concerns and Doctor’s Advice
Dolly took to social media to share that her doctors recommended a few procedures. She added, “As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not for the usual visit to my plastic surgeon!”
She made it clear that the decision to postpone was necessary as she felt unprepared to perform at her usual standards. “I won’t be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see,” she mentioned.
In her message, she expressed her commitment to performing optimally for her audience, stating, “You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you.”
