Since the announcement of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Epic, which combines Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, speculation has circulated about Hrithik Roshan being approached to portray the character originally played by Prabhas. In an interview with Gulte, Yarlagadda clarified these claims, stating:

Following the buzz around Baahubali: The Epic, many assumed Hrithik was the top choice for the role of Prabhas. However, Shobu addressed this matter directly, refuting any speculation. He commented, “I see online comments about us considering Hrithik for Baahubali’s role, but that never took place. Prabhas was our choice from day one.” For those unaware, Prabhas took on dual roles as Amarendra Baahubali and Mahendra Baahubali in the film.

Shobu also corrected rumors regarding the film’s length, stating that it would not exceed three hours and forty minutes, rather than the five hours that some suggested. He said, “We have preserved all primary scenes featuring Prabhas and Rana. The songs and certain scenes might see some trimming.”
