Reports surfaced on September 30 that speculated Parton’s absence was due to health concerns. These rumors began circulating after she announced the postponement of six concerts in Las Vegas, citing “health challenges” that affected her rehearsals.

In her statement on Instagram, Parton addressed fans about her health. “As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures,” she explained. She humorously referred to it as her “100,000-mile check-up” and clarified that it wasn’t a routine visit to her plastic surgeon.
Despite these challenges, Parton reassured her fans that she’s not stepping away from her career just yet. “I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures in life,” she added.
### Honorary Oscar Recognition
In June, the Motion Picture Academy announced Parton as a recipient of an honorary Oscar, the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award. This accolade honors her significant philanthropic efforts. The awards ceremony is scheduled for November 16 and will also recognize other notable figures like Tom Cruise, Debbie Allen, and Wynn Thomas.
