Amitabh Bachchan’s Witty Comeback to Pakistan After India’s Asia Cup Win
Amitabh Bachchan’s Playful Troll of Team Pakistan Post-India’s Asia Cup Victory
Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan was among many celebrating India’s triumph over Pakistan in the Asia Cup final. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Amitabh shared a humorous remark aimed at former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, who had mistakenly mixed up the names of players while discussing the match.
Amitabh Shares Witty Commentary after Victory
In his playful tweet, Amitabh gave credit to ‘Abhishek Bachchan’ for a stellar performance, while also emphasizing how Team India triumphed over the “dushman” (enemy). He wrote, “T 5516(i) – Jeet gaye !! Well played, ‘Abhishek Bachchan’.”
Amitabh added humorously, “Udhar jabaan ladkhadai, aur udhar, bina batting bowling fielding kiye, ladkhada diya dushman ko!! Bolti bandh!! (We Won! Well played ‘Abhishek Bachchan.’ Their tongue tripped, and without any batting, bowling, or fielding, you’ve silenced the enemy!) (Laughing face emojis). Jai Hind! Jai Bharat! Jai Maa Durga!!!!”
Shoaib Akhtar’s Mix-Up with Names
The lighthearted banter began when earlier, Shoaib Akhtar mistakenly referred to Abhishek Bachchan instead of Abhishek Sharma during a discussion about Pakistan’s chances in the Asia Cup final. He said, “If Pakistan takes Abhishek Bachchan out early, what will happen to the middle-order?”
Abhishek Bachchan’s Response
After the clip of Shoaib’s slip-up circulated online, Abhishek Bachchan responded with a witty remark on X, stating, “Sir, with all due respect… don’t think they’ll even manage that! And I’m not even good at playing cricket.”

The Epic Asia Cup Final Showdown
In a thrilling match, India’s victory was bolstered by a significant contribution from Tilak Varma and partnerships with Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube. This win not only secured India’s second T20I Asia Cup title but also marked their ninth overall title, including the ODI editions—defeating Pakistan by five wickets in a tense final held in Dubai. India won the toss and elected to field first.
Are you excited about the upcoming cricket matches, especially after such a light-hearted exchange among the celebrities?
