Nirahua Shares His Experience
Nirahua explained that this memorable event happened during a scene for *Ganga Devi*. In a recent podcast appearance with Siddharth Kannan, he reminisced about the time spent working with Jaya. The film, released in 2012, also featured Amitabh Bachchan alongside Nirahua.
Recalling the incident, Nirahua stated, “There was a scene where I had to slap my on-screen wife, while Jaya, portraying my mother, was meant to scold me. Instead of simulating the scenario, she actually hit me! She is quite short-tempered and I exclaimed, ‘You’re hitting me for real!’”
In response to his surprise, Jaya remarked, “Why did you beat up my daughter-in-law?” To which Nirahua insisted that it was merely acting, but she was indeed hitting him.
When asked about the impact of the encounter, Nirahua admitted, “Maybe it was accidental, but I did feel the sting. I considered it a blessing; after all, how many can say they worked alongside both Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan?”
