Laneway Festivals in Sydney and Melbourne Sell Out in 60 Minutes

Tickets for the Laneway Festival have been selling out at an incredible pace this year.

This marks the second consecutive year and only the third time in the festival’s history that both Sydney and Melbourne shows sold out on the very first day of general sales.

Each city’s tickets were gone in less than an hour—“quicker than Chappell Roan can enchant the audience with her 90-minute gothic fairytale performance at Laneway Festival 2026,” according to a press statement.

Remaining Tickets

While tickets for Sydney and Melbourne are completely sold out, there are still a few left for shows in Auckland, Gold Coast, Adelaide, and Perth. Fans in those locations should act fast if the response from Australia’s largest cities is anything to go by.

Festival Co-Founders Speak Out

Laneway Festival co-founders Danny Rogers and Jerome Borazio expressed their gratitude, stating, “We are thrilled to see this enthusiasm in our 21st birthday year. This response speaks volumes about our lineup and the dedication of Laneway fans, which we truly appreciate. We can’t wait to celebrate together this summer.”

Lineup Announcement

The lineup for Laneway 2026 was announced last week, featuring headliner Chappell Roan along with Role Model, PinkPantheress, Wet Leg, BENEE, Gigi Perez, Wolf Alice, and Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers.

In fact, 2025 was a historic year for Laneway, attracting over 200,000 attendees across sold-out events in Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth, plus an additional 40,000 at various sideshows.
