Jimin Achieves 2 Billion Spotify Streams, Fastest Solo Korean Song Ever

BTS’ Jimin continues to make waves! Despite not releasing new music for over a year, he has achieved remarkable success by collecting a whopping 2 billion Spotify streams for his 2024 track, “Who.” Dropped on July 19, 2024, as the lead single from his second studio album, “MUSE,” this song has generated a range of feedback from listeners. Clocking in at 1 minute and 50 seconds, it features contributions from songwriters like Ghstloop, Tenroc, Pdogg, Jon Bellion, and Pete Nappi.
Jimin’s Growing Popularity with “Who”
Following the success of his previous album, “FACE,” Jimin surprised fans with the release of “MUSE” while serving in the military. The single debuted at number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart—a slight dip from his previous hit, “Like Crazy,” which topped the charts. Nevertheless, Jimin’s popularity remained intact, as he still made impressive strides during his hiatus. Additionally, “Who” secured the top spot on the Digital Song Sales chart, marking Jimin’s sixth number-one hit.
Record-Breaking Achievement
Notably, “Who” became the fastest song by a Korean solo artist to achieve 2 billion streams, doing so in just 427 days. Fans are celebrating this milestone on social media, trending hashtags like ‘Congratulations Jimin’ and ‘Who 2 Billion’ to show their support and excitement.
Recently, Jimin was seen with a new blond hairstyle while attending a party alongside fellow BTS member RM. He also publicly acknowledged his past relationship with Song Da Eun, making him the first member of the group to do so.
