Australian artist 360 is back with his latest album, Out of the Blue. This fifth release is a heartfelt exploration that signifies significant changes in both his personal and professional life.
This 14-track collection is his first major album since 2017’s Vintage Modern and captures the triumphs, struggles, and lessons he’s learned over the past decade. The album features recent singles such as “Save My Soul,” “Coastline,” and the collaboration “Someone Else’s Dime” with Conrad Sewell, along with tracks like “Chasing Ghosts” and the latest single “Broken.” As a complete work, Out of the Blue delves deeper than ever before.
Musically, the album takes a unique approach, blending classic hip-hop with alt-pop and emotional ballads. “The response has been amazing,” 360 comments about the release. “It’s been a joy to see how fans are engaging with the tracks and music videos—we’ve put significant effort into the visuals.”
Collaborations and Emotional Depth
One of the standout tracks, “Broken,” sees 360 collaborating with his long-time friend PEZ, complemented by Mason Dane’s soulful vocals. “The song came about very naturally,” 360 shares. “I initially envisioned PEZ on ‘Save My Soul,’ but once I sent him ‘Broken,’ he was eager to be involved. It turned out to be meaningful for both of us, and Mason’s voice added the perfect touch.”
Spiritual Journey and Connection
The emotional essence of Out of the Blue mirrors the rekindled relationship between 360 and PEZ, which is rooted in both music and personal growth. The two have discussed their spiritual journeys on recent podcasts, explaining how that foundation has helped strengthen their bond.
“It has introduced a new level of honesty and purpose in our music,” 360 notes. “We both feel more grounded now, and that development has allowed us to support one another better, on and off the stage.”
Upcoming National Tour
This renewed camaraderie will shine during 360’s national headline tour, starting at The Forum in Melbourne on July 18th. Following his successful ‘Back to Life’ tour in 2023, these new performances promise an elevated production and a setlist that spans his entire career.
“I’m genuinely excited,” 360 shares. “No nerves, just anticipation. The larger venues have allowed us to enhance our production, and this set is like nothing I’ve done before. You’ll hear songs from Falling & Flying up to Out of the Blue. It’s bound to be fun.”
He adds, “Performing alongside PEZ each night is going to be incredible. Those who haven’t seen ‘The Festival Song’ live now have their chance.”
Staying Grounded
With an album, a tour, and an active podcast, one might think 360 is merely chasing success. However, he quickly emphasizes what anchors him amidst the chaos.
“I don’t tie my self-worth to the outcomes,” he states simply.
360’s Out of the Blue is now available through Teamwrk Records.
