SPEED Channel Transforms Grief Into Power with New Single ‘PEACE’

Latest Release from SPEED: “PEACE”

SPEED has just unveiled their newest single, “PEACE,” showcasing the Sydney hardcore scene in all its intensity and raw energy.

A Powerful Start

This track makes an immediate impact, bursting forth with aggressive riffs and direct vocals. Accompanied by a striking video directed by Thomas Elliott, it effectively captures the band’s dynamic performance vibe. “PEACE” is the debut single from their upcoming EP, ALL MY ANGELS, which is set to drop on October 23rd through Last Ride Records in Australia and New Zealand, as well as Flatspot Records for the global market.

Reflections of Grief

Produced, recorded, and mixed by Elliott Gallart at The Chameleon Studios, ALL MY ANGELS explores themes of grief and resilience. The EP was inspired by the profound loss of three close friends over an 18-month period, prompting SPEED to reflect on their journey while reinforcing their commitment to love and community.

Vocalist Jem Siow’s Insight

“Three of our close friends passed away in 18 months,” vocalist Jem Siow shares. “Yet, through this devastation, I was filled with clarity and peace. Despite the turmoil of questions surrounding their loss, I find solace in knowing our time together was rich with honesty and love. Their lives, though brief, were deeply meaningful, empowering us to embrace our purpose more profoundly. This clarity feels like a finely tuned weapon, ready to tackle life head-on.”

SPEED’s Growing Legacy

The lineup for SPEED includes Jem Siow (vocals), Aaron Siow (bass), Josh Clayton (guitar), Dennis Vichidvongsa (guitar), and Kane Vardon (drums). Over the past year, they have solidified their reputation as a significant force in the hardcore scene. Following their acclaimed 2024 album ONLY ONE MODE, the band has toured widely in the US and is now preparing for their return to Australia.
