Ruel to Host Exclusive Hometown Performance in Sydney

Pop sensation Ruel has unveiled plans for a special concert in his hometown, set to take place at the famous outdoor forecourt of the Sydney Opera House.

This event will serve as a launch for his upcoming sophomore album, Kicking My Feet, scheduled to release on October 17th. Ruel is set to perform On The Steps on December 9th, marking his return to this iconic venue. In 2019, he made history as the youngest artist to sell out the Sydney Opera House’s Concert Hall on two occasions.

Since his teenage debut, Ruel has rapidly ascended the music scene, becoming the youngest winner of an ARIA Award. His impressive journey includes over three billion streams and sold-out tours worldwide. He is also a regular at high-profile fashion events, often attending shows by renowned brands like Louis Vuitton and Hermès.

Now 22 years old, Ruel’s second album highlights his refined songwriting skills, capturing the joys and awkwardness of young love, as suggested by the album’s title. Collaborating frequently with M-Phazes, he has also expanded his network of creative talent, working alongside notable figures like Dan Wilson (Taylor Swift, Adele), Joel Little (Lorde, Taylor Swift), and Kenny Beats (Vince Staples, Dominic Fike).

The lead single, “I Can Die Now,” along with the recent track “The Suburbs,” showcases Ruel’s artistic growth and newfound confidence. He skillfully blends his vocal talents with innovative sound experimentation, marking his evolution as a bold musician.

Presale tickets for Ruel’s On The Steps event at the Sydney Opera House will be available to Frontier Members starting at 10 AM on September 11th, with general ticket sales kicking off at 10 AM on September 12th.
