Apple Corps Welcomes New CEO to Lead The Beatles Legacy

## Appointment of New CEO at Apple Corps

The Beatles’ Apple Corps Ltd. recently announced the appointment of Tom Greene as its new CEO. Established in 1968 by the legendary band to oversee their creative and commercial pursuits, Apple Corps has evolved significantly over the years, especially as The Beatles’ music continues to gain popularity.

### A New Vision for Apple Corps

Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Olivia Harrison, and Sean Ono Lennon expressed their excitement in a joint statement: “We are thrilled to welcome Tom Greene as CEO. We have a lot of exciting plans, and Tom’s experience and vision make him the perfect person to join us in making it all happen.” This collective endorsement signals a promising new chapter for Apple Corps.

### The Legacy of Leadership

Greene is the third individual to take on this crucial role, following Neil Aspinall and Jeff Jones. Aspinall, a prominent figure in The Beatles’ history, was part of their circle since their early Liverpool days. He served as their first roadie and managed Apple Corps for nearly 40 years until his retirement in 2007.

Jones succeeded him and was instrumental in the resurgence of The Beatles’ music through comprehensive archival projects. These efforts included deluxe editions of iconic albums like *Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band* and the *White Album*, transforming how fans experience this timeless music.

### Ongoing Projects and Future Plans

Apple Corps has been actively engaged in producing various projects, with last year seeing the release of the documentary *Beatles ’64*, directed by David Tedeschi and produced by Martin Scorsese. They also unveiled a restored version of the classic film *Let It Be*. In November, the label released *The Beatles: 1964 U.S. Albums in Mono*, showcasing the band’s first seven American albums on high-quality vinyl.

In 2023, Apple continued rolling out deluxe editions of their greatest hits, including the anthologies *1962-1966* and *1967-1970*. Additionally, they celebrated the release of “Now and Then,” which earned a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance.

### Greene’s Background and Vision

Tom Greene will officially begin his role in September. His previous experience includes serving as COO of the esports company BLAST since 2021 and a six-year stint with the Harry Potter franchise, running Pottermore Publishing and Wizarding World Digital. Greene remarked, “It is a huge honour to lead Apple Corps into this new phase of its history.” He emphasized a desire to bring the enduring spirit of The Beatles to new generations of fans.

### Upcoming Projects

Looking ahead, director Sam Mendes has an ambitious four-part film scheduled to premiere in April 2028. Titled *The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event*, the movie will star Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson, Joseph Quinn, and Barry Keoghan.
