Emma Watson has received a six-month driving ban. The acclaimed actress, known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, was disqualified after being caught driving at 38mph (approximately 61.2 km/h) in a 30mph zone in Oxford.

Court Appearance

Watson, 35, faced sentencing at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on July 16, where she admitted to the speeding violation along Banbury Road. Notably, she did not attend the hearing.

Response to the Punishment

According to reports from This Is Oxfordshire, her representative stated in court that Watson fully comprehended the situation and accepted the consequences of her actions.

Previous Driving Record

Before this latest incident, Watson had already accumulated nine points on her driving license from prior offenses. Moreover, her Audi was impounded by police last February when it obstructed two other vehicles in a nearby town.
