This marks the fourth unit of SEVENTEEN, following the trio BSS (Boo Seok Soon) and the duos Jeonghan X Wonwoo and Hoshi X Woozi. This subunit serves as a special gift to their loyal fans, commemorating a decade of their musical journey together.
Introducing SEVENTEEN’s Latest Subunit: S.Coups X Mingyu
The announcement has brought immense joy and excitement to Carat, SEVENTEEN’s fanbase. Fans have long awaited the pairing of S.Coups and Mingyu due to their strong musical chemistry. Their previous collaboration during the BE THE SUN concert’s Shadow stage notably attracted a dedicated following, and fans are now thrilled that their desires have finally come true.
This new subunit stands out as it includes only members from the hip-hop team within SEVENTEEN. The group comprises distinct lines: a vocal line led by Woozi, a performance line directed by Hoshi, and the hip-hop line which features S.Coups. The establishment of this subunit is part of the group’s 10th anniversary ‘rebirth’ project.
With Hoshi and Woozi set to pause their activities due to military service, alongside Jeonghan and Wonwoo who have already enlisted, S.Coups X Mingyu provides a much-needed consolation for their devoted fans.
Recent Activities of SEVENTEEN
SEVENTEEN recently released their fifth full-length album titled HAPPY BURSTDAY on May 26, 2025, with the lead track Thunder achieving impressive chart success. Additionally, they aired a special episode of their beloved variety show GOING SVT, aligning with the themes of their album, similar to their past comebacks.
The group is preparing for another world tour after concluding their last concert, RIGHT HERE, which took place on February 16 of this year.
