ARIA-nominated pop artist Kita Alexander has just unveiled a new track made for the perfect encore.
The song, called “I Don’t Wanna Go Home,” comes just before her upcoming ‘Press Pause’ headline tour. It echoes the upbeat, joyous vibe of her recent single, “Press Pause”.
About the New Track
“I wrote this song entirely for all my fans,” Kita explains. “When we’re at a show together and it’s the last song in the set and none of us want it to end.”
With an engaging chorus featuring the lyrics, “I don’t wanna go home yet baby”, the song encapsulates the electrifying feeling following a live performance, making it sure to resonate with audiences.
Upcoming Tour Dates
Kita’s ‘Press Pause’ Australian tour kicks off on Friday, July 11th, at Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre. She’ll continue to Brisbane (July 12th), Sydney (July 26th), Adelaide (August 8th), and Perth (August 15th). For full ticket details, check out Live Nation.
A Year of Major Performances
This tour follows a remarkable year filled with performances, including opening for Dua Lipa during her ‘Radical Optimism’ arena tour across Australia and New Zealand. Kita also showcased her talent at The Great Escape in the UK and performed a sold-out headline show in London.
Rising Fame
In her home country, Kita continues to rise in prominence. She is currently the face of Tourism Queensland’s “That Queensland Holiday Feeling” campaign and graces the latest cover of Cosmopolitan Australia.
Since her breakout hits like “Hotel” and “Between You & I,” Kita has achieved over 300 million global streams and received various ARIA certifications, including 2x Platinum for “Hotel” and Platinum for “Between You & I.” This year, she also released her highly anticipated debut album, YOUNG IN LOVE, which reached No. 3 on the ARIA Australian Albums chart.
International Success
Kita has found international acclaim as well. She recently collaborated with FISHER on the 2x Platinum-certified track “Atmosphere,” which topped the US Radio Dance Chart.
