The incident sparked after her husband, Rahul Ravindran, made headlines with a statement regarding traditional customs. Chinmayi replied to the ensuing backlash, expressing concern for women’s safety: “The amount of hate directed at him is alarming.”
In reaction to a troll’s comment suggesting she shouldn’t advocate for other women, Chinmayi fiercely defended her stance, stating, “Getting molested is not my fault. Why do people like you bring up my trauma to dismiss my advocacy?”
