Vishnu Vishal's Aaryan: Why the 10-Minute Climax with Selvaraghavan Was Cut

Vishnu Vishal’s Aaryan Re-released After Climax Cut

Overview of Aaryan’s Release

Vishnu Vishal’s latest film, Aaryan, recently hit theaters but faced mixed reactions from viewers. The movie’s climax, running about ten minutes long, sparked criticism, prompting the filmmakers to take action. They decided to cut this portion, particularly a monologue by Selvaraghavan, aiming to enhance the film’s overall pace and reception.

Decision to Shorten the Climax

Following the initial release, many audience members voiced concerns over Selvaraghavan’s lengthy speech, which attempted to explain the antagonist’s motives for his shocking actions. In light of this feedback, the producers opted to make critical edits. "We have shortened the climax of Aaryan by ten minutes to exclude this controversial speech, and the updated version is now showing in theaters," stated the film’s makers.

Re-release Details

The revised version of the film began screening from Monday, and similar edits are planned for the Telugu adaptation. Originally set for an October 31 release, the Telugu version has been rescheduled to November 7 to avoid clashing with other big films, including Mass Jathara and Baahubali: The Epic. Despite these changes, the essence of the narrative, technical aspects, and cast remain unchanged.

About Aaryan

Aaryan is categorized as a socio-political action thriller, with Vishnu Vishal not only producing but also taking on a leading role. Co-stars include Samyuktha Bhat and Shraddha Srinath, with Aaryan directed by Praveen K, and the music composed by Ghibran. The film initially garnered significant anticipation, though the audience response was mixed.
