Ajith raised an important question: how can one determine if someone is genuinely a fan or potentially harmful? This reflection led him to share a harrowing memory where a fan cut his hand during a handshake.
Ajith’s experiences with injuries from fans
The actor disclosed that he carries scars on his hands from incidents where he was “slashed with a blade.” He explained, “There are countless fans who yearn to touch you. This particular event happened in 2005. It happens quite frequently. Many people extend their hands. After shaking hands and getting into my car, I realize I’m bleeding. That moment of realization is startling, especially during outdoor shoots where crowds gather regularly.”
A troubling encounter with a young fan
Revisiting a specific day, Ajith recounted a chaotic situation where fans reached out to him. “There were numerous hands reaching out for a handshake. Suddenly, amidst the pandemonium, a security guard caught a young man, hardly 18 or 19, who had a broken blade hidden in his grip. The situation escalated quickly as we weren’t sure if he was under the influence or just in a state of hysteria,” Ajith recounted.
This year, Ajith was featured in films like *Vidaamuyarchi* and *Good Bad Ugly*, and he has yet to reveal his future projects.
Closing question: How do you think celebrities should navigate their interactions with fans while ensuring their safety?
