Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan recently shared an emotional message after watching the trailer for his grandson Agastya Nanda’s upcoming film, Ikkis. In his heartfelt reflection, Amitabh reminisced about moments from Agastya’s childhood, recalling how he used to play with his beard. Amitabh declared his hopes for Agastya to “bring pride to the family.”
The iconic actor wrote: “Agastya! I held you in my hands as soon as you were born… Today, you play in theatres all over the world.” He continued, “You are special… may you ever bring glory to your work, becoming the greatest source of pride for the family.”
The trailer for Ikkis, a war drama, was recently unveiled, showcasing Agastya as Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. The footage highlights key moments from his life, including his rigorous training and his journey to honor his nation during the Indo-Pak war.
In the trailer, Agastya’s character is portrayed as determined, intent on earning the prestigious Param Vir Chakra for his regiment. The narrative also introduces a romantic subplot, with Simar Bhatia playing Agastya’s love interest. Directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Ikkis is scheduled for a December release.
