Raveena Tandon Reflects on Shah Rukh Khan Ahead of His 60th Birthday
As Shah Rukh Khan approaches his milestone 60th birthday, Raveena Tandon shares her thoughts on his unique charm and the memorable times they spent together on set.
Shah Rukh Khan has experienced an extraordinary year, highlighted by the success of his son Aryan Khan’s The Ba***ds of Bollywood and his own National Award win for Jawan (2023). As he gets ready to celebrate his 60th birthday on November 2, Filmfare conducted a tribute featuring various actors reflecting on his pivotal role in Bollywood. Among these, Raveena Tandon’s insights stood out for their sincerity and warmth.
Reflecting on her experiences, Raveena said, “He’s a riot to work with. Super fun and witty. He’s always cracking jokes. He would often compliment me on my fragrance and inquire about my perfumes. He may not fit the typical image of a conventional heartthrob, but he remains the king of romance.”
On Their Collaborative Journey
Raveena and Shah Rukh Khan shared significant screen time in the films Zamaana Deewana (1995) and Yeh Lamhe Judaai Ke (originally titled Jaadu, released in 2004). Their on-screen chemistry was captivating, but Raveena’s comments reveal that their off-screen bond was equally enjoyable.
On her own professional front, Raveena has joined the cast of the highly anticipated film Suriya 46, featuring Tamil superstar Suriya and directed by Venky Atluri. Meanwhile, her daughter, Rasha Thadani, is making significant strides in Bollywood. Following her debut in Azaad alongside Ajay Devgn, she is all set to star in Laikey Laikaa with Abhay Verma, who gained recognition for his role in Munjya. The duo recently excited fans with a playful video call ahead of their upcoming release on June 11, raising expectations even higher. As for SHK, he is busy working on his latest project, King.
