Thamma worldwide box office collection day 8: Following a strong opening weekend, Maddock Films’ horror-comedy Thamma has maintained remarkable performance at the box office throughout the week. Supported by the Chhath holiday in some regions, the film’s collections have seen an increase both domestically and internationally.

The film, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, saw collections rise by 28% in India on Tuesday, grossing ₹5.50 crore compared to ₹4.25 crore on Monday. The total after eight days is ₹101.10 crore net ( ₹121.25 crore gross), solidifying its place as the fourth film from the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MCHU) to surpass the 100-crore mark.

Internationally, while initial collections were slow due to Diwali constraints, Thamma gained momentum over the weekend, amassing over $2 million globally, with an additional $250,000 added daily during weekdays. Its total worldwide earnings are now estimated at ₹140 crore.

Thamma surpasses Munjya

Having overtaken Munjya’s total lifetime earnings of ₹130 crore, Thamma has secured its position as the third-highest-grossing film in the MCHU, trailing only behind the two Stree films. The vampire comedy aims to challenge Stree‘s lifetime gross of ₹182 crore, although the astounding ₹857 crore from Stree 2 remains a distant target.
