Discover 100+ Artworks at Singapore Biennale 2025 with Free Weekend Shuttles
The much-anticipated Singapore Biennale will take place from October 31, 2025, to March 29, 2026. This year’s event will showcase over 100 artworks and experiences at five engaging venues: The Civic District, Wessex Estate, Tanglin Halt, Orchard Road, and the Singapore Art Museum at Tanjong Pagar Distripark.
The theme for 2025 is “Pure Intention,” marking the eighth edition of this vibrant cultural event.

WITH HATE FROM HONG KONG
Adrian Wong’s “With Hate From Hong Kong” transports viewers into a reimagined Hong Kong film set within a shophouse unit. This installation includes remnants from shattered film sets, reflecting on cultural heritage.
Inspired by the life of his grandfather—a composer for over 300 films—Wong probes into the essence of cultural lineage and the nostalgia tied to Hong Kong’s golden cinematic era.

SEAWEED STORY

South Korean visual research collective Ikkibawikrrr presents “Seaweed Story,” a poignant video installation celebrating the women divers of Jeju Island. This piece highlights the community’s traditions through seaweed sculptures made alongside local harvesters.

HNZF IV

Jacqueline Kiyomi Gork’s installation, “HNZF IV,” introduces sonic sculptures crafted from aerospace scrap sourced from WWII military aircraft. It employs advanced technology like computer-controlled pumps and hydrophones.
This installation reflects Gork’s deep research into sound technology’s military background and the limestone caves of Okinawa, resonating with the amplified sound of water through Fort Gate, evoking parallels between Okinawa and Singapore’s wartime experiences.
