Ayushmann’s Thoughts on Thamma’s Milestone

On Friday, Ayushmann took to Instagram to share a video compilation from a Diwali celebration with family, including a photo with his late father and clips of fans reacting at the Thamma screenings. In his heartfelt note, he mentioned how the film’s success was a significant relief for him and his family.

He expressed, “This family has seen a lot in the last few years. The success of Thamma is like a beautiful divine light… When Paresh ji said आयुष्मान भव: in the film, it felt like my father, my guardian angel, had blessed me.”

Ayushmann also conveyed his gratitude for the love bestowed upon Thamma by his family, his late father, and the audience. He hinted he might surprise fans by visiting local theaters to express his thanks in person.

Support from Peers and Fans

Ayushmann’s friends from the industry expressed their joy for his achievement. Rajkummar Rao stated, “Congratulations, brother. Very well deserved.” Others, like Vijay Varma and Rakul Preet Singh, sent their love and hopes for even greater success.

Fans also expressed their happiness, with one commenting, “Your wins = our wins.” Another echoed, “You deserve every bit of it.”

Sadly, Ayushmann lost his father, astrologer P. Khurana, in May 2023 after battling illness. Earlier this year, his wife, Tahira Kashyap, shared that her breast cancer had returned after seven years, and she is currently focused on her recovery.

Upcoming Projects for Ayushmann Khurrana

Prior to Thamma, Ayushmann starred in Dream Girl 2 (2023), which grossed ₹142.2 crore globally. In Thamma, he portrays a vampire and stars alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film has garnered positive reviews and continues to perform well at the box office.

Looking ahead, Ayushmann will feature in Mudassar Aziz’s Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, alongside Sara Ali Khan, set to release in March 2026.
