Mumford & Sons Release New Single Featuring Hozier

Mumford & Sons have just unveiled their latest single, “Rubber Band Man,” which features the talented Hozier. This energetic folk rock track was crafted under the expert guidance of Aaron Dessner from The National, recorded at Long Pond Studios in New York. The collaboration showcases Marcus Mumford and Hozier exchanging vocals, bringing a fresh dynamic to the song.

A History of Collaboration

Hozier and Mumford & Sons have shared the stage before, strengthening their musical bond over the years. In 2017, they performed a memorable cover of The Beatles’ “A Little Help From My Friends” at the Longitude Festival. More recently, they collaborated on “Awake My Soul” during the Austin City Limits festival in 2023.

Recent Album and Changes

Earlier this year, Mumford & Sons released their latest album, Rushmere, in March. This project was produced by Dave Cobb and recorded in various locations, including RCA Studio A in Nashville, Savannah, Georgia, and Mumford’s own studio in Devon, England. Notably, this album is the first featuring the band as a trio following Winston Marshall’s departure, a change influenced by differing political views among the members.

Special Guest Appearances in Nashville

Recently, the band surprised concert-goers in Nashville by bringing out special guests Lainey Wilson and Sierra Ferrell. During the performance, Ferrell joined them midway through to cover Townes Van Zandt’s classic “If I Needed You.” Wilson later took the stage to perform her song “Things a Man Oughta Know,” seamlessly transitioning into a duet of the Sigh No More deep cut “Awake My Soul.”
