Hayley Williams Revisits Nostalgia with Her Latest Track

Kelly Clarkson Delays Las Vegas Residency Right Before Opening Night

Just hours before Hayley Williams was set to take the stage with Jack Antonoff at the Beacon Theater, the artist flooded her Instagram account with nostalgic images from Paramore’s After Laughter era, dating back to 2017. The series of posts gained clarity following the release of her new trip-hop single, which features references to the band’s fifth album, particularly the lead track “Hard Times.” In the chorus, Williams reflects, “Who knew the hard times were the good ol’ days?”

“Good Ol’ Days” marks Williams’ latest offering from her third studio album, Ego Death at the Bachelorette Party. This project has been introduced in a unique fashion, as Williams initially released 17 individual singles through an old-school web player. In August, she officially unveiled the album title for Ego alongside a new track called “Parachute.” The physical version of the album is set to launch on November 7, featuring “Good Ol’ Days” along with an additional surprise track.

What do you think of Hayley Williams’ creative approach to releasing her new music?
