Dude Box Office Update: Pradeep Ranganathan’s Film Surpasses ₹50 Crore

Keerthiswaran’s romantic comedy, “Dude,” featuring Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju, continues to perform well during weekdays despite mixed reviews. After hitting theaters on October 17, the film has rapidly amassed over ₹50 crore in India, buoyed by positive word of mouth and the Diwali holiday.

Box Office Performance

As per reports, “Dude” garnered approximately ₹3.75 crore net in India on Wednesday, pushing its total domestic earnings to ₹54.05 crore. It had a strong debut, earning ₹9.75 crore on its opening day, and maintained momentum over the weekend with collections of ₹10.4 crore on Saturday and ₹10.6 crore on Sunday. Thanks to the Diwali holiday, Monday’s earnings also surged, reaching ₹10.8 crore.

Despite an 18% drop on Tuesday, which brought in ₹8.75 crore, the film continues to show resilience. As it wraps up its first week, it has already surpassed Pradeep’s earlier films, “Love Today” (2022) and “Dragon” (2025), which earned ₹19.55 crore and ₹46.15 crore by day six, respectively. Moreover, “Dude” crossed the ₹95 crore mark worldwide by its fifth day.

About the Film

“Dude” marks the directorial debut of Keerthiswaran and features music by Sai Abhyankar. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film revolves around the lives of Agan (played by Pradeep) and Kural (portrayed by Mamitha), who navigate unexpected challenges after Kural proposes to Agan. The narrative unfolds with revelations that test their relationship and family dynamics. While the leading performances received acclaim, the film faced some criticism regarding its second half and narrative handling.
