Naga Vamsi on War 2’s performance

While promoting his upcoming film Mass Jathara, Naga Vamsi joined actor Ravi Teja for a discussion with director Kalyan Shankar on Sithara Entertainments’ YouTube channel. He candidly addressed War 2’s box office failure, stating, “Mistakes happen. Everyone makes mistakes at some point. Aditya Chopra is one of the top producers in Indian cinema. NTR and I placed our trust in YRF blindly, but it misfired.”

He also reflected on being trolled for a film he didn’t produce, saying, “The mistake is on their side, but we faced the consequences (laughs). We weren’t involved in the production. I take comfort in knowing that the negative feedback wasn’t for a project of ours.” Prior to the film’s release, Naga Vamsi encouraged audiences to support the Telugu version, hoping it would outperform the Hindi version on opening day, yet the film fell short during its debut weekend.
