Abhinav Kashyap Sparks New Feud with Arbaaz Khan Over Malaika Arora's Role

Filmmaker’s Recent Claims

Filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap, recognized for his impactful direction in the film Dabangg, has sparked controversy again. He has aimed criticism at Arbaaz Khan, asserting that Arbaaz opposed his then-wife Malaika Arora’s participation in the famous item song “Munni Badnaam Hui”. Abhinav implied that the opposition stemmed from concerns about the song’s perceived vulgarity.

Abhinav Kashyap claims Arbaaz Khan didn’t want Malaika Arora to perform in Munni Badnaam.

Details of the Dispute

In a recent interview with the platform Bollywood Thikana, Abhinav revealed, “They were uncomfortable with Malaika’s presentation in the song. They were worried it would look vulgar because it was a raunchy number. But I had assured them, Malaika had already carved her own identity in item songs, much like her stepmother-in-law Helen. I fought to have her in the song, but Arbaaz specifically didn’t want her to do it.”

At the time of Dabangg’s production, Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora were a married couple, having wed in 1998. They share a son, Arhaan, but separated in 2016. Arbaaz later remarried makeup artist Sshura Khan, while Malaika was in a relationship with actor Arjun Kapoor for several years, which reportedly ended recently.

Abhinav has not shied away from making allegations against Salman Khan and his family over the years. In response to Abhinav’s recent comments, Salman addressed the feud during a recent episode of Bigg Boss, suggesting Abhinav should focus on his career rather than stoking controversies.

“Ek Dabangg insaan hai… sabke bare mein bolta hai. Maine pichle weekend kaha tha, kaam karo yaar, nobody’s interested. Kaam mila kya bhai? Aise harkatein karne ke baad koi aapke saath kaam nahi karega.” – Salman Khan

Overview of Abhinav Kashyap’s Career

Starting as a screenwriter, Abhinav contributed to films like Manorama Six Feet Under and Yuvvraaj. His debut as a director came with Dabangg, starring Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha, which became a massive success. However, he opted out of the sequel due to creative differences. His next release, Besharam, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, did not perform well at the box office.

In the ever-evolving world of Bollywood, tensions and rivalries often command significant attention. Do you think Abhinav’s revelations will impact public perceptions of the actors involved? Share your thoughts!
