A Blend of Influences

Capaldi’s rendition evokes the familiar, warm chords reminiscent of Coldplay’s "Fix You." During his session, he also performed two of his own songs: the unreleased track "Almost" and "Pointless" from his 2023 album, Broken By Desire to Be Heavenly Sent. He concluded with his newest single, "Something in the Heavens," captivating the audience with each note.

Upcoming Musical Projects

This year, Capaldi plans to release an EP featuring his latest singles alongside new material he’s been hinting at throughout his comeback. He mentioned, “I don’t know about an album, but I’m doing an EP at some point this year, and then an album maybe will follow next year.” Fans are eager for more music.

Additionally, Capaldi has announced an extensive tour, marking his first since taking a break to manage his struggles with Tourette’s syndrome. His return to the spotlight has been met with great enthusiasm.

BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge Series

As part of the 2025 Live Lounge Month series, Capaldi joins a lineup that includes notable performances from artists like Renée Rapp and Olivia Dean. Upcoming acts this October will feature Demi Lovato, Wet Leg, Mumford & Sons, Louis Tomlinson, and Florence + the Machine.

A Look Back at Paramore

Paramore last graced the Live Lounge in 2017, covering Drake’s "Passionfruit" and performing the hit "Hard Times" from their album After Laughter. In 2020, Hayley Williams made a solo appearance, singing her song "Simmer" and covering Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now.”
