Pooja Bedi shares her experience with Parveen Babi

In a recent chat with Siddharth Kannan, Pooja reflected on her time with Parveen when she returned to India. “When I visited her, I noticed she looked quite different, having gained weight and her hair being wild. However, she seemed genuinely happy to see me,” Pooja explained.

She continued, “Suddenly, she mentioned she could not offer me anything as she only consumed eggs. When I inquired why, she stated it was something they couldn’t tamper with. I was puzzled when she mentioned the FBI being involved in this.”

Pooja elaborated on Parveen’s aversion to store-bought makeup, implying that someone was contaminating it. This raised alarms for Pooja as she realized something was seriously amiss.

About Parveen Babi

Parveen made her debut in *Charitra* (1973) and rose to prominence with classics like *Deewaar* (1975) and *Namak Halaal* (1982). A fashion icon of her time, she left the film industry in 1983 but continued to see releases until *Irada* in 1991.

Tragically, Parveen struggled with severe mental health challenges, including schizophrenia. She retreated from public life, and on January 20, 2005, she was found deceased in her Mumbai apartment. The news shocked many, with her death attributed to multiple organ failure at the age of 55.
