Jennifer Lopez Reflects on Career Choices

Jennifer Lopez recently opened up about a role she declined, which ultimately led to another actor receiving an Oscar nomination. Speaking with Howard Stern on SiriusXM, Lopez shared her regrets regarding that decision and explained her reasoning at the time.

Which Film Did Jennifer Lopez Regret?

When questioned about roles she wished she had accepted, Jennifer promptly mentioned the film *Unfaithful*, released in 2002 and directed by Adrian Lyne. The part eventually went to Diane Lane, who earned an Oscar nomination for her performance.

Lopez recalled, “Adrian Lyne offered me *Unfaithful*. [I turned it down because] the script wasn’t good. And then he made it great! And Diane Lane got nominated for the Oscar!”

‘It Haunts Me’

Expressing her feelings about her decision, Lopez added, “It haunts me a little bit. It’s like the one that I turned down—’Why did you turn down working with Adrian Lyne? What were you thinking?’” Her reflection reveals a thoughtful perspective on the choices she made during that time.

The film *Kiss of the Spider Woman* features Diego Luna as a political prisoner in Argentina during the civil war of the 1980s. Directed by Bill Condon, known for his work on *Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 1* and *Beauty and the Beast*, the film was released in theaters on October 10.
