Pooja Hegde: Why Audiences Still Crave the Theatrical Experience
Actor Pooja Hegde emphasizes the necessity for compelling content in the film industry to draw audiences back to theaters.
The year 2025 has been promising for Pooja Hegde, whose performance in *Retro* opposite Suriya garnered positive reviews. Her brief role in Rajinikanth’s *Coolie* also received acclaim, leading to strong box office results.
In today’s evolving entertainment landscape, Pooja believes the industry must adapt to attract audiences. “It’s true that things are more unpredictable now, but I don’t think people have lost their appreciation for the cinema experience,” she explains. “They just need a reason to visit the theaters. The emotions, the grand scale, and the community feel of watching a film together cannot be replicated at home.” She emphasizes that when films deliver a memorable experience—be it through storytelling, music, or visual spectacle—audiences will return to theaters.
